Vinyasa as per Jason Candelle is Power + Precision + Mindfulness. The class will deliver a strong vinyasa practice, an education about the technique of yoga, and accessible contemplative teachings.
After more than a decade of teaching vinyasa yoga in many different settings all over the world, Jason found that combining power, precision, and mindfulness creates the most efficient, balanced yoga class with maximum impact. His approach is challenging and sweaty without producing burnout. It’s also exacting, helping you progress in your poses, without being stagnant or tedious. His classes encourage one-pointed focus and awareness of what’s going on internally. So we follow his inspiration for our Vinyasa class.
The word “vinyasa” can be translated as “arranging something in a special way,” like yoga poses for example. In vinyasa yoga classes, students coordinate movement with breath to flow from one pose to the next. Ashtanga, Baptiste Yoga, Jivamukti, Power Yoga, and Prana Flow could all be considered vinyasa yoga. Vinyasa is also the term used to describe a specific sequence of poses (Chaturanga to Upward-Facing Dog to Downward-Facing Dog) commonly used throughout a vinyasa class. The class makes you stronger.
We guide you through a strong sequence of hip-opening lunges and standing poses designed to create greater flexibility, strength, and comfort in your lower body. This practice is great for beginners and all levels.
FROM 1ST-10TH OF THE MONTH
We practice a soulful vinyasa yoga class at an integrated level 1-2 with classical surya namaskara. We move in 46 yoga asanas in a flow and Upavistakonasana and Garudasanas are the Peak Asanas.
- REGULAR YOGI
FROM 11th to 20th OF THE MONTH
(Works fully, but relaxing with effort. Stays in touch with body.)
- COMMITTED YOGI
FROM 21st TO 30th OF THE MONTH
(Actively creates conditions for self-awareness. Paces self).
We practice an integrated level 2 class with almost 36 asanas with Peak Asana being Astavakrasana, Ekpada Koudinyasana. It is a flow and you do a lot of different postures in Standing, half standing and much more as you develop your rooting and center much like a tree which is rooted with its roots, can withstand the winds and storms.
In Vinyasa three friends always stay with you which are: gravity, breath and wave. Vinyasa classes are creative flow classes and we are connected with the earth with our standing asanas and we flow with the breath and the body expresses itself in flowing Asanas that are the expression of spirit.
